Strength • Wisdom • Transformation
In ancient Chinese mythology, the dragon is among the most revered creatures, symbolizing strength, wisdom, prosperity, and divine protection. Unlike the fearsome dragons of Western folklore, Chinese dragons are believed to command the waters, summon rain, and bring harmony and abundance to the earth.
One of the most celebrated legends tells of koi swimming against the powerful currents of the Yellow River toward a towering waterfall known as the Dragon Gate. Those that persevered and successfully leapt over the falls were transformed into magnificent dragons. The legend became a symbol of extraordinary transformation, earned through courage, determination, and perseverance.
A deep blue dragon, adorned in gold, winds across this turquoise vessel. In Chinese tradition, black dragons are associated with deep waters, mystery, and the powerful forces of nature.
Golden fractures trace the vessel's surface, drawing inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi, in which broken pottery is repaired with gold. Rather than concealing its history, the gold honors it.
The greatest transformations do not erase our past; they honor everything it took to become who we are.
